On Tuesday September 23, 2014, 6:00 pm, RAPT held it's first meeting for this academic year.
Our new principal, Lynn Chadder, was introduced and so were the two staff reps for the RAPT council. We had several parents attend the meeting and share their thoughts and ideas.
At the end of that meeting, everyone present voted to elect the new RAPT council members.

WELCOME BACK

Welcome Back Rippleton Families

We have another exciting year ahead of us. So much is planned from extra curricular enrichment for our children during their school day, to social and fundraising events throughout the year.

The RAPT Beginning of the Year package was sent home on the first day of school (Kindergarten classes will receive it on Friday). Enclosed in the package, you will find forms for the Direct Donation Drive, Pizza and Sub lunch, Spirit Wear T-shirt forms, Nomination form for the School Council, Volunteer contact info, and the Direct Donation Drive form.

During the first week of every year, RAPT launches the Direct Donation Drive which fundraisers the majority of the money for the academic year. As described  in the form, this monetary donation is used to enrich our children's academic, cultural and physical environment. Without the Direct Donation Drive, much of what we take for granted at our wonderful school would not be possible. Please take the time to read the Direct Donation Letter and fill out the for; and please donate generously with your time and money. All the money donated now and throughout the year is spent enriching our School. All the time donated now and throughout the year is quality time filled with special memories.

Pizza lunch has been offered to parents for several years now, and this year we are happy to announce that we have increased the frequency to two Pizza Lunches per month. We also added a once a month option of Sub Lunch from Quiznos. These lunches are yummy for the students, easy for the parents, and raise money for the school!

During the past year, there were many requests for Rippleton Spirit Wear, especially for the many new kindergarten students. In response, we have enclosed forms for the Rippleton T-shirts in both child and adult sizes. This is a school spirit service and only pre-purchased items will be ordered from the supplier, whom we are proud to say is a Rippleton parent!

Currently, the RAPT committee is comprised of the seven parents that were elected last year. On September 23rd, 2014, the new council will be elected. To nominate yourself, or to nominate any parent or guardian at Rippleton, please fill in the Nomination Form and send it to the school's office. We strongly urge you to attend the meeting on Sept 23rd, to vote and to learn about the Rippleton Parent Council activities. Babysitting will be available for school aged children.

The How You Can Help form lists all the social and fundraising events planned for this year, while the Class Parent Representative form explains how you can help your child's teacher. Please fill in your contact information if there is the slightest possibility you could help and be involved this year.

We Look forward to your involvement.
