Book Sale

Hey Parents,
Hope everyone had a great summer and have settled back in post summer routine :)
We are planning a book sale at Rippleton on October 1st so please donate gently used books and board games before October 1st to support the grade six graduates. Then drop by our gym on October 1 between 1-6 to purchase items. If you are unable, please send your child with a toonie to purchase items during school hours. Thanks.

Three things you missed at last RAPT meeting

1: Wish-List
We are very pleased to announce that the technology wish list items that were requested by the teachers according to their individual needs have been ordered. The items that were ordered are
4 – Laptops for the library Computer Lab.
12 Wall Mount Interactive Smart Boards: Many classrooms do not have a smart board; with this purchase, all the classrooms at Rippleton will now have a smart-board.
8 – iPad Air + “Grip” Casing: The ipads purchased will be used by teachers and students.
6 – Laptops: The laptops are installed in the classrooms and will be used by teachers and students.
6 - Documentation Cameras: The School currently has only one camera to document events and learning needs.

2: BBQ 

The Annual BBQ date is June 13^th and rain date is June 20^th, from 11-3 pm. 

Day care will not be joining Rippleton this year in hosting the BBQ; due to their increased numbers between Rippleton Daycare enrolment and St. Bonaventure daycare enrolment, they need to organize a separate event for their families; they plan to promote and support our event.

3: New RAPT member:

We would like to welcome our newest member of RAPT, Christine Shin. She will be acting as a co-treasurer along with Brenda.

Three things you missed at the last RAPT meeting

Optional attendance for our school is closed as we are up to our full capacity (104%).

Ms. Chadder will soon be leaving for her surgery and Janet Ashberry will be the acting principal in her place. Wishing a speedy recovery to Ms Chadder.

We want our children to have the best and latest facilities available to them and for that a grant from teachers was accepted by RAPT to full fill our school's technology requirements.

After School Dance Program

Has your child always been interested in learning how to dance? Well here's your chance to enrol your kid in an exciting program being offered at Rippleton after School. For Gr 1-3 the class is on Thursdays (3:20 - 4:20) and for Gr 4-6, it's on Mondays ( 3:20 - 4:20).
Your child should have the forms in their bags. Happy Dancing everyone :)
