Monster Scholastic Book Fair

Students will visit the Book Fair on Monday Dec 7th to make their wish list! 

The Book Fair will be open for purchases between Tuesday and Friday (8th-11th Dec) 

50% of sales goes back to the school as Scholastic money!

Here are the details again about this new fundraiser at our school:

The money raised will support many of  RAPT's initiatives that directly benefit our children's school experiences. 

All you need to do is order the FundScrip retail cards - there are a variey of gift cards to choose from, which are redeemed just like cash.

For every card purchased, our school receives a percentage of money in return. All card purchases are guaranteed to arrive quickly and in time for holiday gift giving.

Sgt. Wendy Drummond has been a police officer with Toronto Police Service for 21 years, with 10 of those years spent as a relations officer/spokesperson for the Service. She has been using Social Media since 2009 and is currently assigned to the Strategy Management Unit -coordinating all the Social Media use for the Service. She is a mom of 3 kids with ages 13, 12 and 9.

Movie Night at Rippleton - Nov 12

The Grade 6 Graduating class will be hosting a movie night for our JK & SK & Pre-K students

A big thanks to you all for making the Halloween party such a success. Thanks to everyone who donated their time, it would not have been possible with out you!

"A Christmas Carol" - Performance by DuffleBag Theatre on Dec. 3

Hi Parents, 

RAPT is delighted to announce that the popular and zany DuffleBag Theatre will be performing two shows of Charles Dickens' beloved "A Christmas Carol" on Dec 3 in the school gym. 

The first show for JK-Grade 2 will be at 930am 
The second show for Grades 3-6 will be at 1pm

The "Nearly World Famous" DuffleBag Theatre has been entertaining schools and festivals since 1992. 

The theatre company's actors begin the retelling of original adaptations of classics full of wit and humour. Just when the audience becomes enthralled by the story - a twist is created! Before your very eyes, students (and maybe even a teacher) are asked to come up on stage and join in the action. 

This unpredictable performance is a hilarious experience for all ages and a truly unique interactive theatrical experience where the dream of living a fairy tale actually does come true!

As Tiny Tim said: “God bless us, everyone!”

 

Halloween Party - this Friday, Oct 30!

Hi Parents, 

The Halloween Party and Dance is this Friday, Oct 30. Parents are welcome to attend the party and participate during your child's class time slot. Please checkout the RAPT bulletin board as well as RAPT Facebook and Twitter for details!

Many thanks to Daniela and Sergio Graterol for donating their time and DJ equipment to make the party a great time for all!

Price of admission for the party of the season? One non-perishable food item as entrance to the party! All donations will go to the North York Harvest Food Bank.

Children are encouraged to wear the costume for the day - or come in black and orange.
